Noteboxapp.com gives designers a tool to request and manage feedback from clients and others. The user can upload an image file. Notebox supports .PDF, .PNG, .GIF and .JPG file formats. Once the image is uploaded, the user can add a few notes and obtain a link that can be shared with clients. Invitation recipients can view the design and add notes of their own. Each time a new note is added, the user receives an email notification so they know when to check for updates. Each note is displayed right on the design image. The user can also toggle to a note view that lists each addition by date. The user can switch between multiple designs to review all notes related to a larger project.Show more screenshots »
Notebox was created by KC Web Design. The application was intended to provide designers with a convenient, effective way to share their designs with clients and get the feedback they need to complete projects. The application was introduced in 2011 and is currently growing. Notebox may not be as seasoned as other similar applications, but it does offer a polished environment and attractive service options to new users.
Notebox delivers many appealing features that make it a tough competitor. While giving users the ability to view notes on top of an image (like other applications), Notebox also allows the user to separate them into lists by date and quickly page through images to review all notes. These features make Notebox a valuable tool when working with multiple images for a project. Users can also integrate with Twitter and customize their note settings.
Visual style is definitely on Notebox’s side. The application has a very attractive appearance, with soft green hues and stylish buttons that make it look professional as well as welcoming. After logging in, the user can view a rectangle portion of their designs along with stats and tools to manage them. The user is also presented with an organized clients and projects list along the left side. Navigation is very simple and the user can easily jump from one area to the next with little effort. Notebox uses a rich design that contains no clutter.
A new user can obtain a Notebox account by clicking the gold “Get Account” button nestled in the upper, right hand corner of the homepage. Doing so takes the user to the account options page. After selecting their preferred subscription, the user is asked to supply their Paypal information to purchase the subscription and check out (for paying members only). A link is available on the same page for users who would like to pay with a credit card but have no Paypal account.
Users can choose from three subscription plans when signing up for a Notebox account. The first is a free 30 day trial of the service. The free trial includes all features and unlimited access. After 30 days have passed, the user must choose one of the two remaining membership plans. The first is the Notebox Lite plan which costs $7.76 per month and includes unlimited clients, unlimited projects, up to 500 MBs of storage space per year and all basic features. The Notebox Stacked option costs $15.52 per month and includes access to advanced CSS editing tools, free upgrades and custom branding options.
Noteboxapp.com is a convenient application for designers, especially those who work with multiple images or projects per client. The application allows the user to easily send an image and receive feedback that can help them complete the project to the client’s specifications. Subscriptions are economical and the user can manage as many clients and projects as they want.
